Fastway warns of a phishing trend targeting people selling items on online stores/marketplaces: a fake buyer claims they want to use Fastway to arrange payment, collection and delivery.
A supposed buyer contacts a marketplace seller via email, SMS or instant messaging, claims Fastway will arrange payment/collection/delivery, then sends a fraudulent Fastway-branded link or URL. The page asks for the seller’s personal details and/or causes funds to be transferred to a fraudulent account.
Different pages, same playbook — matched by what they do, not just the brand.
Fastway warns that scammers target people selling items online: an interested buyer sends a fake delivery/payment-status process, sometimes showing that money was received, to trick the seller.
