A South African jobs page refreshed on 11 October 2026 warns that Capitec job seekers may be targeted by application-fee or guaranteed-job scams.
Fraudsters pose as Capitec recruiters, agents or WhatsApp groups and ask applicants to pay to secure a job, submit a CV, arrange an interview or guarantee placement. The source warns that Capitec applications are free and legitimate employers do not ask for deposits or banking details as part of an application.
