The trick it’s trying
Recent SASSA fact-checks warn about fake WhatsApp numbers claiming they can apply for SRD grants or fix grant statuses.
Scammers use ordinary mobile/WhatsApp numbers, claim to be SASSA agents, and ask for ID numbers, banking details, OTPs or PINs to “fix” or “apply” for grants.
